Evolved
A fan-made scroll-driven film site. A kid slams his watch on a desert highway and transforms, step by step, as the visitor scrolls.
About this theme
Evolved is a single-page, scroll-driven film site. A 48-second story is stored as 480 still frames, and the scroll position decides which frame is drawn, so the visitor moves through it at their own pace.
The story has six sections: Ben, Ultimatrix, Transform, Humungousaur, Evolve and Ultimate. Eight captions sit in the empty side of each shot and swap sides with the character. A section menu, a section counter and a green progress line frame the picture.
On portrait phones the layout changes: the picture sits on top and the text below it, and the character is kept in view as he moves across the frame.
The download has two parts. The prompts PDF is the full step-by-step handout: the shot list, every image and video prompt, the ffmpeg commands and the coding prompts used to make this site, ready to copy. The second part is the ready-to-run React and Vite source code with all 480 frames. Every caption, timing, colour and font is in one data file and one stylesheet, so you can edit the words and the look for your own project.
This is a fan-made film. Ben 10 and its characters belong to Cartoon Network, so replace the frames and the words with your own before using the site for a business.
What the theme says
Ben 10 - Ultimate Alien
Just a kid with a watch.
Sixteen years old, one green jacket, and a watch that can turn him into almost anything.
The Ultimatrix
Turn it. Slam it.
One hit on the dial and the watch starts rewriting him.
Transformation
He doesn't stop running.
The change hits mid-stride. By the next step, he is already bigger.
Growing
Bigger with every step.
Humungousaur
The road cracks.
Scales, muscle and a tail built for smashing through whatever stands in front of him.
Evolution
He's not done yet.
One slap on the symbol pushes him past his limits and into his evolved form.
Ultimate Form
Armor up. Spikes out.
Blue plates lock over his chest, silver spikes rise along his back, and his tail ends in a mace.
Ultimate Humungousaur
Fully evolved.
